1. Complete the tutorial exercise in Chapter 6 of Inside ArcView GIS on “Introducing Map Layouts”.
1. What is a locator map? How do you create it in the map layout?
2. What are the similarities and differences between data view and map layout view in ArcGIS.

2. Design and create one map layout consisting of the following components:
1. Soil drainage class of one of the Chiang Mai map sheet with a proper legend.
2. Land use map of the same area with a proper legend.
3. Locator map of this area with regards to the whole Chiang Mai province.
4. Title for each map, scale bar and north arrows.
5. Discuss the visual relationship between soil and land use map in this map layout.
