What are the main tasks of ArcCatalog and ArcMap? Discuss.

3. Figure 1 is a part of 1:50,000 map of the Project area in Chiang Mai.

a) What is the distance in km between A and B along the river? Explain how do you measure and calculate this distance.

b) What are the coordinates in UTM of location C?

c) Identify the extent of the project area in this map in terms of UTM coordinates.
